ABOUT

Lisa is an illustrator, surface designer, and writer based in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Her work is uniquely expressive and whimsical. Her aesthetic is fresh and goes unmatched in today’s market. It is lively, sophisticated, contains dreamlike tones, and it reflects the travels she takes in her life and in her imagination.

She works with her hands, best with inks, watercolors, and pastels. But is fluent in Illustrator and Procreate, having been a graphic designer for the past 10 years. She takes her hand drawn elements and recreates them into workable vectors, if need be. While her work translates wonderfully to a variety of products, Lisa's passion lies with children's goods, kid lit, and home goods.
"Kids deserve beautiful art too," Lisa says. She believes a picture book should spark joy and humor, while provoking thought and conversation. The spreads should exhibit tension, motion, and cause anticipation. "I want the reader to find or experience something new in the picture time after time."

Some current clients include Primitives by Kathy, Hawthorne Supply Co., Southern Made Tees, and Retrocraft.
